Philadelphia Flower Show
March 6 & 7, 2012

Join group leader Kathleen Hughes on a fun-filled tour to Philadelphia and take time to smell the roses! This overnight trip includes admission to the Flower Show with this years theme; Hawaii: Islands of Aloha. See towering waterfalls and waves of orchids, glowing volcanoes and more. Overnight at the Holiday Inn Stadium hotel with breakfast buffet. Also visit Longwood Gardens for self-guided touring and lunch, and the Brandywine River Museum to see artwork by three generations of Wyeths. This museum is located in a 19th-century grist mill and has a wonderful collection of American illustration, still life and landscape paintings.

Gettysburg & Lancaster (with Sight & Sound Theater)

The Pomona Grange Lecturers Association will visit historic Gettysburg and Lancaster for a 4 day/3 night getaway.  Highlights include Colonial dinner at the Fairfield Inn with a Union Soldier presentation, Gettysburg Visitors Center with a film, Cyclorama and Museum, guided Battlefield Tour, Eisenhower Farm, dinner at Dobbin House, optional Ghosts of Gettysburg Walking Tour, step-on guide in Lancaster for Amish Farmlands touring and an Amish Organic Farm, Sight & Sound Theater performance of Jonah, dinner at Plain & Fancy, a visit to the National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg, three breakfasts, accommodations at Country Inn & Suites Hotels in both Gettysburg and Lancaster.
